The Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of Kilimanjaro that allowed hikers to ascents and descend in the same routes. But also offer accommodations in huts/banda.
This could partially be the fact that the Marangu is inexpensive route; it is possible to do the Marangu route in 5 days, thus getting to the summit one day earlier compared to the Machame route.

You’re going to rent most of the mountain gears while you reach Tanzania .Just bring your own clothes, and well worn-in boots the rest will find there.
A Minimum of 6 Days is the best length with between 53 km to 73 km length depending on the route taken. Umbwe route being the shortest and toughest route which you can spend 5-Days. The more the Days the more acclimatise the more chances of reaching the summit.
The easiest and most popular route is Marangu which can be done in five days but we recommend to spend at least days for the highest possibility of success .

Marangu route offers Basic huts to stay in, for those who are using other routes will sleep in tents with sleeping mats.You can come with your Sleeping bag or you can rent on your arrival.
Sometimes you may experience altitude sickness – headaches, nausea, loss of appetite and dizziness.
Apart from physical injuries which can happen as you walk on uneven terrain there is no other serious danger like mugging ,attacked by animals or mosquitoes.
It is a good practise to show your appreciation ,the amount depends on the number of days and can range from $250 to $300 per hiker which can be shared to all crew .
Most nationalities receive their Visa on Arrival.Visa processing is done on a cash basis so we recommend you to have cash as you arrive .Apart from US citizens who are charged 100$ per person the rest are required to pay 50$ per head.
